The Tourism Skills Network is a skills and business support initiative for the hospitality and tourism industry in Gloucestershire.

Business Recovery Fund
For these small and medium businesses that have been affected by the recent floods - a £2m Business Recovery Fund has been set up.
The fund is not aimed at loss of earnings, but the criteria for eligibilty for the £2,500 funding is available from www.glosfirst.co.uk

Gloucester Tourism are able to offer marketing and promotional support to tourism related businesses in and around the City of Gloucester through a number of initiatives including:
Visitor Guide
40,000 copies of the Gloucester Visitor Guide are produced annually and distributed throughout the UK and overseas. A number of advertising opportunities exist within the guide to help businesses target potential visitors to the area.
Tourism website
www.visitgloucester.info currently attracts more than 30,000 unique visits every month. Packages are available to businesses wishing to advertise in both the guide and the website.
Eating Out and Nightlife Guide
Gloucester Eating out and Nightlife Guide promotes the range of restaurants, cafes, inns and tea rooms within the City of Gloucester.
Festivals and Events
Gloucester Tourism in partnership produces the Gloucester Festival and Events Leaflet. 75,000 copies are distributed within an hours travelling distance of the City. A monthly events list is also produced and emailed to key contacts and all event information is displayed on www.visitgloucester.info
Gloucester Travel Trade Manual
Gloucester Travel Trade Manual is the main group brochure within the county. 5000 copies are produced and distributed by direct mail to 2500 coach operators, group organisers and travel agents interested in the area. A number of advertising packages are available.
Gloucester Conference Guide
2000 copies are produced. This is distributed to our database of 1500 conference contacts interested in the city. A number of advertising opportunities are available.
Joint Exhibitions Campaign
Gloucester Tourism arranges attendance at a number of Travel Trade and Consumer exhibitions across the country on behalf of the Cotswolds and Forest of Dean Destination Management Organisation. There are a number of leaflet racking and sponsorship opportunities available.
Travel Trade Direct Mail Campaigns
Gloucester Tourism direct mail 2500 coach operators 3 times a year, there are opportunities to include inserts or to be included in the editorial of these mailings.
Promotional opportunities within the Tourist Information Centre
Gloucester Tourist Information offers a number of promotional opportunities from leaflet racking to poster space. It also offers opportunities to hire window space and acts as a ticket agent for many local events.
