Tips for visiting throughout the year
Spring
This is a lovely time to visit our gardens - the weather is starting to get warmer. Plants and flowers are beginning to bloom into a beautiful display ready to welcome visitors to the Cotswolds. It’s a sure sign that summer is on the way.
Top Tips
If you come in the spring you’ll probably be lucky enough to experience some beautiful weather, but just in case be prepared! Wear some extra layers and bring an umbrella for our famous April showers!
Summer
Summer days here in the Cotswolds stretch on forever and are the perfect opportunity to amble amiably around our gardens and then enjoy a traditional English tea with a homemade cake in the relaxing atmosphere of a Cotswold garden.
Top Tips
Contrary to rumours it can get hot and sunny here in England so wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water as you’re travelling around the gardens.
Autumn
Don’t despair once the sunny days have gone and the nights start to draw in - come and visit us in the Cotswolds and experience the amazing array of colour that Autumn brings. You will be amazed at the sight it brings.
Top Tips
A trip to Westonbirt or Batsford Arboretum to see the full array of colour is certainly well worth while. It does start to get chilly at this time of year, so layers is always a good option.
Winter
There is nothing better to beat the winter blues than to take a brisk walk in the Cotswolds. Watch the morning mist slowly rise and reveal frost-covered trees, which resemble a beautiful winter wonderland.
Top Tips
Wrap up warm! That’s all we can say and it’s worth getting up early so you can experience our winter wonderlands.
