Corse Lawn House Hotel is an elegant Queen Anne Grade II listed building, set back from the village green and fronted by an unusual ornamental pond (originally built as a coach wash into which you could drive and turn a stage and four horses) and surrounded by twelve acres of its own gardens and fields.
The house has belonged to the Hine family (of Cognac fame) since 1978, and during that time has been carefully extended, refurbished and restored to create a stunningly attractive Country House Hotel with nineteen beautiful bedrooms.
There is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which together with superb food and wine make the hotel a perfect place to unwind and relax.
To capture the essence of Corse Lawn, you probably need to stay overnight and enjoy the comfort of the unusually large bedrooms with beautiful fabrics, antique furniture and every imaginable extra, including proper coffee and cafetieres and real tea leaves with homemade biscuits.
Alfresco dining around the pond in summer is simply blissful in the sunshine and drinks around log fires in winter are about as cosy as it gets. Brisk walks or leisurely drives around the Cotswolds, Malverns & Forest of Dean can work up an appetite for the superb and wine that Corse Lawn is renowned for.
Baba Hine has owned and run the hotel for over thirty years, and her entire management team has been here for fifteen years or more, so whether in reception, restaurant, bistro, kitchen, bedrooms and even garden, you will be sure to be looked after by familiar faces, which all adds to the warmth and friendliness of Corse Lawn.
The house, too, is wonderfully relaxing and welcoming with its graceful lines, large windows and tall ceilings. There is an elegance and freshness about the rooms that is very charming.
