Home > Glebe Farm Holiday Cottages
Glebe Farm was a working farm until about 1980, set in the most superb and rarely found setting, up a lime and copper beech tree lined drive of about 500 metres length.
Polly and Nick Handover bought the farm in 1983 and over a period of 8 to 10 years, they have designed six holiday cottages, converted the farm barns and developed a very peaceful and high quality selection of holiday cottages, all the necessary modern requirements, antique furniture and peaceful rural views.
Neither the cottages, or our site, are designed for children, which is why we do not accept them in our bookings. We do, however, accept babes in arms. Our aim has been to create a setting which is quiet and restful and where our guests can wander in peace, watch the vast selection of natural English birds, or sit on the patio to have a glass of wine before their dinner and without being disturbed by shouting, the odd stray football or the like. We also try very hard to ensure that the gardens are not only pretty, but are also kept in a tidy and comparatively weed free condition, this all contributing to the general ambiance.
In short, if your idea of the ideal holiday accommodation is one of comfort and peace, while being central to everything you need, with a bit of privacy included then Glebe Farm Cottages are just the place for you and will suit all your requirements. Nick and Polly undertake a constant and thorough upgrading of the cottages, in the hope that they always look good for our guests, but we always welcome any new ideas that our guests may offer.
Our cottages offer accommodation for two people with en-suite bathroom, 4 people in two bedrooms and 6 people in three bedrooms within the complex and all the cottages vary in style. Each cottage has its own patio area and there is a large garden which Nick tries very hard to keep looking good for everyone’s benefit and visual enjoyment.
Nick and Polly live on the site and are available, should there be a problem, either for questions or otherwise, and they look forward to welcoming you to their rather special and private setting in the Cotswolds.
We are no more than a five minute drive from the centre of Cirencester and yet are totally quiet, being up our own private drive and away from the hurley burley of today’s life.
Polly and Nick sincerely hope that all our guests enjoy their time with us in the heart of the Cotswolds.
