Walking Past lets you get the most out of your visit to Stow-on-the-Wold with informative and entertaining audio tours of the town and local countryside. Explore this historic Cotswold town at your own pace and discover what lies beneath its genteel exterior. Download a tour to your own audio player or hire an mp3 player pre-loaded with the tour of your choice. Tours are available for hire inside Go-Stow (the new visitor information centre in Talbot Court in Stow-on-the-Wold) or by calling our main booking number. All tours start at the stocks in the market square. You can also call to hear selected chapters using your phone; please see our website for a full list of “call-to-listen” chapters and phone numbers.

Hire an audio player inside Go-Stow, the new visitor information centre in Talbot Court in Stow-on-the-Wold, open 10am-5pm Monday through Saturday, 11am-4pm Sunday. Road Directions

Stow-on-the-Wold is located on the A429 (the Roman Fosse Way). Walking Past tours start at the stocks in the market square.

Public Transport Directions

By Coach: Stow-on-the-Wold is accessible on Pulham bus routes 612, 801, 806, 810, 812, 815, 817, 818, 819, and 855.

By Rail: Stow-on-the-Wold is 4 miles from the Moreton-in-Marsh train station, with trains running between London’s Paddington Station and Hereford. Train service from London is approx. 1.5 hours, making it an ideal “day out” in the Cotswolds. Local buses run regularly between Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow.
