The Cotswolds is home to the largest collection of serious Art and Antique dealers outside London.
The Cotswold Art and Antiques Dealers Assocation (CADA) was formed in 1978, with the aims to promote its members both at home and abroad and to offer a high standard of goods and services, a philosophy that still holds firm today. Visitors have the opportunity to visit CADA dealers with businesses both large and small, specialist and general. Many of the dealers are based in Stow-on -the-Wold, with its mix of good pubs, hotels and individual small shops. It is the diversity on offer in a comparatively small area that makes the Cotswolds a hunting ground for both the collector and the connoisseur. One of the highlights of the CADA year is the exhibition fortnight, held in October each year.
Elsewhere in the area, the attractive market town of Tetbury also has a cluster of very good antiques shops, and the Tetbury Antiques Association represents many of them.
In Gloucester Docks there's the Gloucester Antiques Centre which hosts numerous antiques dealers in one warehouse.
