Gloucester Shopping

Shopping in Gloucester is made easy by the Roman layout of the City. The city's main streets are pedestrianised, wide and airy and are simply named Northgate, Eastgate, Southgate and Westgate.

As well as all the usual high street stores that you would expect to find in any well known UK city, Gloucester has a covered market with range of specialist shops, including a great fishmonger and butchers offering the famous 'Gloucester' sausage.

It's well worth taking the few minutes to walk down Westgate Street and along Berkeley Street to the Victorian Docks, where the Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet offers a variety of shops and cafes. Right on the Docks, you'll find the five storey Antiques Centre can be found in one of the old warehouses.
