Held every Saturday this award-winning farmers' market, as featured in the Sunday Telegraph, The Observer, The Independent, The Guardian Weekend, Rick Stein's Food Heroes and the Country Living Guide to Farmers' Markets, is held in the purpose-built Cornhill market place in Stroud town centre.

There are around 50 to 55 stalls at each market, depending on the season, with up to 7 organic producers selling a good range of certified organic produce.

With occasional cooking demos from local celebrity chef Robert Rees, entertainments throughout the morning and the "al fresco" market cafe, the atmosphere of this well established and popular market is something to be experienced.

As well as a wide range of local produce, including 4 cooked food stalls and an ice cream stall, there is always a wide range of quality local crafts. Seasonal events include special celebrations for farmhouse breakfast week, potato day, apple day festivities in October and Christmas events in December.
