In the heart of the south Cotswolds, just east of Cirencester, lies Poulton Hill Estate, a small, family-run vineyard producing award-winning English wines and spirits. Founded in 2010, the estate has quickly become a leading producer in the English wine industry, with the wines praised for quality and complexity.

The estate’s vines grow on the warm and sunny south-facing slopes of Poulton Hill Estate where they grow a variety of grape varieties, including the white Bacchus, Seyval Blanc and Phoenix to the red Pinot Noir, Regent and Rondo. These grape varieties are carefully blended and balanced to create a range of award winning white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines.

Grapes aren’t the only things we grow at Poulton Hill Estate. We’re also home to two flocks or rare-breed sheep, Jacob’s Sheep and Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep, two of the oldest breeds in England. They are friendly sheep and are perfect for keeping the area around the vines tidy without nibbling the grapes – and they fertilize the soil as they graze.

Join us for a relaxed tour around our vineyard where we will take you through our history and the growing of grapes.  From there you will be guided through a tasting where you will sample a selection of our still and sparkling wines. Visiting the Estate and taking part in a wine tour will provide you with a rare opportunity to not only taste our unique wines and spirits, but also to enjoy the countryside they were grown in.

We have also created superior short-stay accommodation at one end of the main house. There is also the Long Room, designed specifically for large wine tastings which can also be used for corporate entertainment or even private functions.

If you would like to purchase award-winning Cotswold wines and spirits, the shop is open Tuesday to Saturday where you can also take advantage of their cellar door prices. Wine can also be enjoyed by the glass, overlooking the stunning vineyard.
