OWLPEN in its magical Cotswold valley setting has long been recognised as one of the most romantic places in England.
For 40 years, nine self-catering Cotswold holiday cottages sleeping from two to eight guests have given a warm welcome to thousands of guests from all over the world.

Our cottages range from tiny woodland hideaways to lovingly-restored listed buildings, all scattered around the 215 acre estate.
In each cottage we have created the subtle intimacy and feeling of a well-loved home. We take the trouble to furnish holiday cottages individually in a Cotswold country farmhouse style. We blend traditional and contemporary designs with antique furniture, prints, plants, and fresh fabrics, all in lovingly co-ordinated interiors.

The famous Tudor manor house (1450-1616) stands in an early formal garden of magnificent yews at the heart of the estate, steeped in 900 years of history.  It has recently been used as a major film location, being one of hte main location for the Daniel Day-Lewis film Phantom Thread.  Come and stay in our woodland hideaway, Woodwells, the house where he lived for nearly a month while the filming took place.

Owlpen and its hamlet of secluded Cotswold holiday cottages form a discreet and intimate home from home, set in a private estate of woods and hills in the most dramatic landscape of the Cotswolds.

This peaceful valley offers peace, privacy, and seclusion such as you will find nowhere else in southern England.

The licensed Cyder House restaurant is open by prior appointment for private parties. 

The Owlpen estate is also the Cotswolds' most romantic setting as an exclusive wedding venue for civil marriages and church weddings, , as well as parties, arts and corporate events.
