About
Sapperton Yurt
Make your way down the winding farm track, take the footpath across a meadow and enter 30 acres of ancient woodland – welcome to Sapperton Yurt, an elegant and spectacular wonder of the wild tucked away under the canopy of the woods at Westley Farm.
Sapperton Yurt is a dream in cream canvas, handmade in Devon to a traditional Kyrgyz design by Yurts 4 Life, with a wood-burning stove, supremely comfy double bed, two single futon chairs, sheepskin rugs and throws galore. The yurt has a generous deck for loafing with a fully-equipped kitchen and everything you could need to cook up a storm. And below the deck is the horse box, complete with roll-top bath. Just lower the tailgate, fill the tub, soak in the hot water and enjoy the view of the woods. We’ll even provide a bottle of bubble bath.
A few steps away, there is a fire pit with log seating and a hammock for those lazy summer days. And when the call of nature comes, visit Sapperton Yurt’s loo with a view!
Yurt Reynolds
Our stunning woodland yurt is a 16-foot diameter canvas tribute to Burt Reynolds, one of the pioneers of outdoor living. Inside is a hand-made double bed, quirky furnishing and two single futons for the little ‘uns. Outside there is a spacious deck with camp kitchen under canvas, a hand-crafted canvas and wood bath-house with a roll-top tub, firebowl and thunderbox loo.
Step off the deck and you are in the ancient woodlands, with tracks through the woods leading to the canal below. All around are the sounds and sights of the woods – deer, rabbits, birds of prey and rare butterflies.
Westley Farm is one of the Cotswolds’ best-kept secrets, a 70-acre farm, surrounded by ancient woodland, rolling meadows and unrivalled views.
There’s lots to do on the farm, from pony rides to exploring the woods, but if you want to venture out we’re close to the Cotswold gems, as well as the foodie heaven of Stroud and the Roman market town of Cirencester. There’s golf, waterparks, castles, gliding and even a local circus on the doorstep.
But you might want to stay put and watch for the kestrels, buzzards, owls, badgers, foxes and deer, as well as the sheep and cattle that graze the fields.
Please note there is a three night minimum stay.
