The Kings Hotel is a charming 18th century town house boasting distinctive and stylish accommodation. Sympathetic and careful renovation means guests can enjoy all the modern day comforts they need yet still soak up the character and history of a Cotswold stone building. Nestled in the heart of picturesque Chipping Campden, it is the perfect location to experience the beauty of the Cotswolds.
The Kings combines traditional character with contemporary style to create a relaxed and welcoming home away from home for every guest and the dedicated team draw on a wealth of experience to ensure your stay will be memorable and comfortable.
Defined by its eclectic style, the fourteen main house bedrooms are all delightfully individual and have been designed in deference to traditional Cotswold charm but with a modern twist. The five cottage rooms, set apart from the main house, are decorated to the highest standards with beautiful furnishings and lavish bathrooms.
The Kings delivers modern British food with a contemporary twist. Not so much a revival of old dishes, but a re-interpretation with an element of fusion. Head chef Ben Tynan & his team are passionate about sourcing the best local suppliers to ensure we use only the finest ingredients and support local business. You will encounter mouth-watering choices such as a starter of local asparagus, quails egg, citrus hollandaise, parmesan, or main course of crisp pork belly & fillet, bacon & thyme potato cake, ruby chard and heritage carrots. To finish, the dessert menu promises blissful indulgence with the likes of baked vanilla cheesecake, poached rhubarb served with rhubarb & ginger ice cream.
For a more informal option relax in the refurbished Brasserie bar, complete with log burner, where we serve morning coffee, an informal Brasserie menu and delicious Cotswold afternoon teas. The pretty English cottage garden and sunny terrace are perfect for soaking up the rays, glass of wine in hand.
