Va Va Voom Through The Cotswolds With Great Escape Classic Cars

Great Escape Classic Cars

The Cotswolds is, undoubtedly, one of the loveliest and most English of English destinations. At Great Escape Cars we run regular road trips with customers through the region in our fleet of classic hire cars, with the aim of getting away from the main tourist hotspots and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the area.  Here are our five favourite places in the Cotswolds:

  1. Lower Slaughter

One of our road trips stops for lunch in this little village, and with good reason – it’s achingly pretty with a river running through it.

  1. Morris & Brown café

The café at Broadway Tower has pretty much everything – a view, great coffee and equally good cakes.

  1. The A44 from Broadway to Stow

It helps, of course, if you’re in a classic car, but this 10 mile stretch of road is one of Britain’s best. It has it all - weaving hill climbs, tree-lined straights and winding country roads.

  1. Cotswolds Lavender

There is more to lavender than just lavender, as Cotswolds Lavender will reveal: wander the many varieties in the fields or sit back, relaxed and enjoy tea with a lavender scone.

  1. Snowshill Manor

Snowshill is one of the Cotswolds’ prettiest villages but Snowshill Manor is one of its most eccentric homes. It’s owned by the National Trust and chock full of unusual objects collected by the owner over decades.

You can explore the Cotswolds in our of Great Escape Cars’ fleet by hiring by the day (from £95) or joining a road trip (from £199). The 30+ fleet covers classics from the 1950s to 1980s including everything from Mini Coopers to Jaguar E Types. To find out more visit www.greatescapecars.co.uk or call 01527 893733.
