Big Grin Distillery is situated on Upton Downs Farm, in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, just outside Burford and was set up by old friends Ben Mills and Archie Ley, who have lived in the Cotswolds all their lives.
We also have a sister restaurant, (The Firehouse), a Farm Shop, (Upton Smokery), and a brewery (Elements Brewery).
Bottle Shop
Big Grin has its very own Bottle shop on the site of the distillery selling our carefully chosen selection of spirits, wines, locally brewed craft beers and ciders.
Our copper tasting bar is in full swing, giving our customers a real taste of the Big Grin spirit, where you can try a gin & tonic or sample the beers from Elements brewery next door.
Tastings
Here at Big Grin, we can offer tasting evenings, where you can learn from the distiller himself, Ben. He will take you through the processes with a gin & tonic in hand, before tasting a selection of spirits.
We also hold tasting from wine merchants, local breweries and other distilleries and can offer wine tasting and beer tasting evenings
Distillery
Here at Big Grin, we are a small batch distillery with a 300 litre still producing 350 bottles on every maximum run. We can also do small run batches of 100 bottles. Every batch and bottle are numbered separately.
