On Savouring Bath’s award-winning food & drink tours you’ll stroll the city’s elegant streets as you munch and slurp handcrafted samples. This is a great way to get off-the-beaten-path and discover some of the city’s hidden gems of yumminess, and its famed food & drink history. Try 18th century buns, nouveau pastries, artisanal coffees, unusual teas, and much more.

Your locally based, friendly tour guide is well acquainted with Bath’s food & drink scene, and they’ll share their personal dining & drinking recommendations throughout the tour. There’ll also be anecdotal tales of the colourful personalities who have shaped Bath into one of the UK’s most popular culinary destinations. You’ll even get to meet and chat with some of the city’s independent artisans who will share their own food & drink stories with you while you taste their wares.

A tour with Savouring Bath is the perfect way to experience the city using your taste buds! Combine a walking tour with the equivalent of a light meal, by sampling fantastic local fare against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful city of Bath.

This tour can accommodate some special dietary needs but most samples offered are not suitable for vegan, dairy-free or gluten-free diets.  Any other dietary requirements you would like us to consider must be submitted by one month prior to the event.  Maximum group size is small to keep the experience intimate & personal, and the total amount of food samples provided equates to a small meal so we recommend you avoid eating heavily in the 2-3 hours prior to the tour.

 

Booking

Price: £260 for up to 4 people + £65 per extra person (2022); £280 for up to 4 people + £70 per extra person.

Duration: 3.5 hours. Shorter experiences available on request.

Capacity: Minimum of 2, maximum of 10 per guide (6 at weekends). For large groups, multiple tour guides may be available on request.

Opening: Subject to availability tours can be booked on request Tuesday to Saturday year-round (Mondays & Sundays are not available)

Facilities

Language: Guests will need a nearly native level of English to fully appreciate the experience. If you wish to provide a translator, please notify us when booking.

Parking: Chargeable car parks are available at various locations around Bath city centre. Larger vehicles (minibus/coaches etc) can pick-up & drop-off in the city centre and park at Odd Down park & ride.

Pick-up service: We offer pick up and transfer through our transportation provider for a supplementary cost.  As a guide, this costs £50/hr for up to 6 people but we can provide a comprehensive quote on receipt of your requirements.

Transportation is not required as this is a walking tour. Meet & greet from properties located centrally in Bath, is available for free on request. If you require pick up/drop off from further afield we can provide this for an extra fee if booked in advance

Accessibility: Please inform us about your needs when booking so we can provide accurate advice and so we can plan carefully to accommodate all that you need to enjoy the tour.

Special requirements: Tours primarily take place outdoors and proceed regardless of weather conditions. Please dress appropriately according to weather reports. For special dietary requirements to be considered, these must be notified when you initially request your tour. Most samples are not suitable for vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free diets and we do not recommend our sampling tours for people who have multiple dietary restrictions, or who have multiple foods they wish to avoid. We are not able to accommodate short notice, or on-the-day special dietary requests or preferences.
