A weekend printmaking course exploring nature printing and linocut.
This is a great opportunity to get to know and draw the birds at Slimbridge, as well as experimenting with print techniques and producing a great set of prints to take home.

What the course involves:
Over the weekend produce a set of unique prints. Following an exploratory session on the reserve sketching birds in their habitats. The printmaking session will begin by using natural found forms , including plants, grasses etc to print from, producing some striking and effective images.
After this there will be an introduction to lino printing after which attendees will create a lino block from which to print - of a chosen bird. The two will be combined on the final day of the course to produce a unique series of prints to take home at the end of the weekend.
No previous experience is necessary.
All materials will be provided and are included in the cost of the workshop.
Please bring a packed lunch, or if you prefer you can have lunch in the Kingfisher Kitchen.
Cost: £140 per person for the whole weekend (21 & 22 Oct), includes admission to WWT Slimbridge as well as a £5 catering voucher to spend in the restaurant or kiosks.
