Downton Abbey - behind the scenes in Bampton
A new exhibition - held in the building that served as Downton Cottage Hospital - looks behind the scenes at filming of the hit TV drama Downton Abbey that took place in the village of Bampton from 2010 to 2108.
The Cotswold village of Bampton doubled as the fictional Yorkshire village of Downton, supposedly somewhere between Ripon and Thirsk! Many scenes, including some of Downton Abbey's key events, have been filmed in and around the church in Bampton, the main location for filming.
