Join Mary Day for a 2-day residential workshop for the chance to paint on beautiful silk and also quilt with pure silk wadding which adds a particular subtle effect to the paintings.
Painted silks and stitchery combine to produce wonderful decorative surfaces for a whole host of uses. Embroidery - hand stitching and machine as well as quilting and beads add a special quality to painted silks for wall panels, pictures, cushions and interior design items unrivalled by other decorative finishes.
Whether you are a novice or experienced painter or stitcher this course will give the opportunity to experiment with colour and the play of light in conjunction with stitch and bead embellishments which offer emphasis and accent to silk paintings to delight the eye.
