Local hotels, B&Bs. tourism websites, visitor attractions and other tourism businesses have all been in the spotlight as the second annual Cotswold Tourism Awards are announced.


The 2012 Awards highlight the successes and achievements of Cotswold tourism businesses throughout the last year in categories such as Hotel of the Year, B&B of the year, Self Catering Business of the year, Caravan or Camping Site of the Year Visitor Attraction of Year, Event of the Year, Pub of the Year, Conference Venue of the Year, Website of the Year and Tourism Business of the Year. Judging was carried out by a confidential, impartial panel selected for expertise in relevant areas.

Chris Dee, Tourism Manager at GFirst, commented: “Cotswolds Tourism, which is a partnership between local authorities and over 300 tourism businesses in the area, thrives on the high quality of local tourism businesses and services. These awards reward our achievers and help us to highlight the best of what’s on offer here.”

2012 Tourism Business of the Year, a category drawn exclusively from members of Cotswolds Tourism, is Treasure Trails, which creates and promotes informative trails across dozens of well-known Cotswold villages and locations.
