Moreton-in-Marsh

Located at the head of the beautiful Evenlode Valley (and on a direct rail link from London), Moreton in Marsh is a thriving market town, dating back 1000 years to the Saxon era.
Its broad High Street is lined with elegant 17th and 18th Century buildings, among them the White Hart Royal, a former manor house in which King Charles I sheltered during the Civil War.
Moreton in Marsh accommodation is varied with something for everyone, whatever your needs. Moreton in Marsh hotels, bed and breakfast mostly dominate the accommodation here along the town's High Street and a Moreton in Marsh B&B in particular proves to be a popular choice amongst visitors as it provides access to walks around the area.
Every Tuesday Moreton-in-Marsh hosts the largest open-air street market in the Cotswolds. It is also the venue for a successful one-day agricultural show held on the first Saturday in September.

As well as the railway station, Moreton-in-Marsh is well connected to Cheltenham and other towns and villages in the Cotswolds via bus services.
