Active & outdoors in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds
The Oxfordshire Cotswolds is one of the most rural areas of southern England, which makes it perfect for an active and outdoors-filled short break or holiday.
There’s so many ways to explore the stunning Oxfordshire Cotswolds countryside; walking, cycling, boating, horse riding, the choice is yours!
Go walking or cycling and explore the rolling Cotswolds hills and picturesque villages that are dotted across the landscape, before stopping for lunch or afternoon tea at a country pub or tea room. Cruise along the serene Thames in a narrowboat or get active - and wet! - and kayak or paddleboard your way down stream.
The lower Windrush valley has a number of beautiful lakes, some given over to watersports, and there are a number of excellent leisure centres in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.
There's plenty to do for active families, including family cycle rides and walks, and your four-legged friends will love exploring the dog-friendly walks, attractions and pubs in the area.
