With the Cotswold Discovery Trail, you will discover the history and heritage of the Cotswolds with our beautifully designed treasure trail maps and trail pack. There are two fun filled trails to follow which guide you around the Cotswolds spanning 4 historic counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Worcestershire and Wiltshire and over 5500 years of history.

You will be guided to numerous famous Cotswold locations and lessor known gems, employing your wits with the maps and tools in your trail pack. The maps provide a wealth of fascinating information at each  location along with the challenge of answering clues and questions to uncover more.

You are given the freedom to explore the Cotswolds independently, but with the confidence of using our trail maps and trail pack. While immersing yourself in the stunning countryside and picture postcard villages you take a journey through time. The trails include the discovery of a Stone Age monument, Iron Age fort, Roman Amphitheatre, Anglo-Saxon settlements and Elizabethan conspiracy theories to name but a few.

Each trail takes a day to complete in a car, structured around many highlights where you explore on foot, with a total drive time between 2-3 hours. One trail is in the north Cotswolds and the other in the south. They are designed as circular routes with several start points around each, allowing you to conveniently start and finish a trail at a location close to home or where you are staying.

You can order a trail pack online and have it sent to any UK address for free. If you are visiting the area we will ensure your trail pack is waiting for you at your accommodation upon arrival.
