The new Cotswolds pub group, Lionhearth Group, opened the doors of The Black Horse in Salford for the first time in September 2023. The new venue, just outside of Chipping Norton, has undergone extensive refurbishment to reinstate this precious asset at the heart of the community.

The Black Horse presents a selection of the finest local beers and an impressive wine menu. Guests can tuck into simple lunches and pub classics throughout the week, with an additional dinner menu available in the evening. All dishes will celebrate the finest quality local produce cooked to perfection and thoughtfully served with a choice of sides made for sharing. Expect generous prime rib or porterhouse cuts from the grill, whole free-range chickens from Adlington Farm cooked rotisserie, and tempting sides; hassleback potatoes, rotisserie onions, mac n cheese, BBQ corn and garlicky field mushrooms.

The Salford Cottage, a stylish bedroom suite, hosts overnight guests in this enviable village location.
