Meet in Cheltenham & the Cotswolds has been set up as the wider region's official convention service led by Marketing Cheltenham, who have key experience in this specialised sector.

With the opportunity of smaller business events and team building days, the aim of the service is to highlight key venues linked to team building incentives to entice more enquiries.  With Cheltenham known as the festival town, the largest regional venue of the racecourse and high bed-spaces, the service offers a range of options to event planners including practical destination knowledge and support to match enquiries to appropriate businesses.

Not only are Cheltenham or the City of Gloucester a great base to hold events, but there are plenty of outdoor activities in the region. Choose from adrenaline-filled water sports or rally driving in the Cotswold Water Park area near Cirencester, cycling or zip wires in the Forest of Dean, or discover the beautiful countryside and quintessential Cotswolds, the region offers corporate visitors plenty of breathing space in which to team-build and to leave a lasting impression on delegates.

Work to date has included attendance at industry event focussed shows with stand partners, hosted FAM visits such as MICEBOOK, digital promotion via newsletters and social media, as well as working with MeetEngland.  Working in partnership together with businesses that rely on meetings, incentives, conferences and events will help bring more business events to the area and in turn raise the profile of the destination.
