Step inside a 16th century Cotswold thatched cottage to learn to bake English scones, visiting a village church and castle with locals.
This unmissable quintessential experience will get you making your own English scones in a typical Cotswold kitchen, using locally sourced ingredients and of course a local recipe.
While the scones are cooling, you will enjoy a short guided walking tour around the Cotswold ironstone village of Hanwell, visiting a 13th century church and a castle where King James l and Oliver Cromwell both stayed, followed by your cream tea with homemade jam and clotted cream inside the Cotswold cottage. Come hungry for history, heritage and of course scones with lashing of homemade jam and clotted cream!

Guide Price: £68 per person. Open to tour operator rates, ad hoc group rate and tour series rate.

Language: Enlish - guests will need an intermediate level of English to fully appreciate the experience. French, Italian and Spanish also spoken.
Parking: Free on road parking for two cars.
Pick-up service: We can provide a transfer pick up on request from Banbury Station, Moreton in Marsh and Stratford upon Avon.
Accessibility: Due to the cottage being 16th century the property has a lot of steps to access the kitchen. Low level of fitness required.
Special requirements: Bring walking boots as it might be a little muddy and dress for the weather.
