Chipping Norton Walks

The busy little market town of Chipping Norton sits on one of the highest points of the Northern Cotswolds and is a popular base for walks into the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of places for eating and drinking or for buying picnic ingredients.

A walk of 6.5 miles (10km) across gently undulating countryside from the Chipping Norton to the villages of Salford and Cornwell and back - a Cotswold Conservation Board walk.

A 5 mile (8km) walk between Kingham and Chipping Norton, via Churchill - a Cotswold Conservation Board walk.

Kingham to Chipping Norton (AONB Walk 6)
Options for a longer walk 9 miles (15km) or shorter 6 miles (10km) - a Cotswold Conservation Board walk.

Mills and Meadows (AONB Walk 11)
This walk crosses the meadow lands between Kingham and Chipping Norton 5.5 miles (9km) - a Cotswold Conservation Board walk.

The Magic of the Rollright Stones (AONB Walks with Stiles)
Starting from Salford, a few miles from Chipping Norton, this 5.25 mile circular walk goes to the mysterious Rollright Stones returning through the hidden hamlet of Little Rollright.
