This stylish, multi-award winning boutique Inn with restaurant and 13 rooms is located in the centre of the historic and picturesque Cotswold market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest point in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. The Porch House occupies a handsome, Grade II listed, Cotswold stone building, The Porch House claims to be ‘England’s oldest Inn with parts of the building dating back to 947AD.
Packed with historical, architectural and decorative features, The Porch House’s light-filled bar comes with wood-burning stoves and a conservatory dining space. The main dining room, within an architecturally splendid setting of exposed oak beams, very fine 16th Century inglenook fireplaces and honey-coloured stone walls, is decorated in a easy, modern style and is also available for private parties and small weddings of up to 50. There’s also a private dining room, seating 12, with its own private Bar, garden seating and restrooms.
Expect a regularly changing, seasonal menu showcasing flavourful, rustic British dishes made using the best locally-sourced ingredients, which during the summer, can also be enjoyed in The Porch House’s pretty courtyard garden.
