The last couple of decades have seen a huge surge of interest in craft brewing and Oxfordshire has certainly got its share of wonderful micro breweries, all intensely local and driven by individual experimenting. Here are just some of them…

Established in the summer of 2017, Amwell Springs Brewery in Cholsey was inspired by love of good beer and their mission is to serve up awesome craft beer that’s packed full of flavour. They’re particularly passionate about only using their own treasured spring water, naturally filtered through the chalk hills, as the perfect foundation for all of their beer.

Known as The Oxford Beer, Chadlington Brewery is passionate about the art of brewing beer using only natural ingredients including Oxfordshire spring water and the finest English hops and malt. They take their time to ensure each and every brew is the best it can be.

Brewed in a barn in a small village in the Cotswolds, Church Hanbrewery with fresh ingredients that are supplied locally and following traditional methods, their handcrafted beers are deliciously unique and 100% pure with no added artificial clarifying agents or preservatives.

Starting with Abingdon Bridge, a classic English Bitter with a subtle modern twist, Loose Cannon have since created over 68 different beers and have permanent, seasonal, monthly and specialist ranges to satisfy even the most discerning customer.

Pioneers in the UK craft beer movement, Lovibonds in Henley have brewed award winning American style craft beer since 2005.

Elements Brewery is an award winning family owned and run brewery in the Cotswold 'wilds' - on the outskirts of Burford - where they are busy creating new and exciting craft brews. Currently they have four core craft beers

Created by the bringing together of two great brewing brands, The Shotover Brewing Co and Oxford Craft Beer Co, the Oxford Brewery is all about the merging of tradition and innovation. The result is a range of unique beers.

All Woodstock Brewery beers are brewed in Woodstock and inspired by local wildlife local. After brewing and fermenting for a first time, they bottle the beer and ferment it further to revive the yeast and bring out more complex flavours.

The Wriggly Monkey Brewery launched in Oxfordshire in 2018, engineering beer for petrol heads! Based at Bicester Heritage, a hub of motoring excellence, the Wriggly Monkey Brewery takes inspiration from the worlds of engineering and motoring, creating traditional real ales with flair.

Tap Social Movement grew out of a passion for good beer and social justice. They are a craft brewery and a hospitality social enterprise that provides training and employment opportunities to ex-offenders and welcoming, inclusive spaces for the whole community.
