Beside the Abbey Church in Malmesbury and straddling the River Avon, this truly spectacular 5 acre garden has brought praise from around the world.

With over 1000 years of history, burial place of an English King, knot gardens, herb gardens, river walk, monastic fish ponds, waterfall, over 2,000 different roses (largest collection in the UK), over 100,000 tulips, 10,000 different plants with constant colour from March to November, these 5 acres are a must see garden and history experience.

Our gardens will be opening on selected Saturdays between 10-4pm so you can pop in to see what's new.  Last admission 3pm.

Visitors can expect to see something new at each Open Day, with behind-the-scenes snippets from our volunteer guides.  As we reimagine the gardens, bold decisions are being made to rejuvenate key areas. You will discover removal of plantings and hedges that have run their course. This is a much loved garden which is in a season of replanting and you will learn the methodology behind this approach when you visit.
