Enjoy a visit to to the enchanting Puzzlewood followed by a traditional afternoon cream tea in this beautiful location in the Forest of Dean.

Puzzlewood is a designated ancient woodland, and its unique environment makes it a very popular location for filming including block buster movies such as Star Wars and documentaries including Planet Earth.

Puzzlewood is an enchanting and inspirational place. It has an atmosphere quite unlike any other wood you have visited. Once in Puzzlewood it is easy to imagine that you are in a fantasy film, and that fantastic creatures lurk round every corner. Puzzlewood was recently used a filming location for the BBC1 productions of Merlin and Dr Who. JRR Tolkien is reputed to have taken his inspiration for the fabled forests of Middle Earth from Puzzlewood, and it is easy to see why.

When you have had a wander, then sit down in the onsite small cafe or outdoor seating area to enjoy your afternoon tea.

18-27 February: open daily.
28 February - 31 March: open Saturday, Sunday, Monday only.
April-October: open daily.
November to 24 December: open Saturday, Sunday, Monday only.
Christmas dates: open daily 16-24 December.
