An easy start through the Severn Vale followed by a steep ascent and descent of the Cotswold escarpment. A ride taking in some beautiful countryside that includes The Tyndale Monument and the National Trust’s Newark Park.

This route takes you through some beautiful places including Coaley where you can experience total tranquillity on the prettiest section of the route. Carry on to Uley (nearby) where you can enjoy a well earned break at Prema Cafe, part of the newly relaunched Prema Arts Centre in Uley. Uley Bury is nearby, free, and one of the finest examples of a promontory fort in Britain. You will then pass through Wotton-under Edge, the ‘Edge’ refers to the Cotswold edge, under which Wotton-under-Edge nestles, overlooking the Severn Vale. Its main street has been called a ‘department store within a high street’, plenty of opportunity to pick up supplies or stop for lunch.
