Take a walk on the WILD SIDE! Stroll around the Park and get eye-to-eye with giraffes, watch rhinos graze on the Gothic manor house lawns, walk with lemurs or take a ride on Bella the Train (April-Oct).

The stunning gardens and themed borders, make a beautiful backdrop the animals. With over 260 different species of animals in over 120 acres of parkland, there's plenty of space to relax and get closer to wildlife!

Kids of all ages will love the adventure playground in the woods with interconnecting tree-houses, rope bridges and slides. Don't miss the Children's Farmyard with goat petting area, daily penguin feeding and talk at 11am and 3pm, and Lemur feed and talk at 12noon in their walk-through enclosure. 

They have one of the largest reptire collections in the UK with crocodiles, lizards, frogs, snakes, such as green anacondas, and venemous snakes including the black mambas. Other indoor exhibits include Insect House, Bat House, Little Africa and Tropical House with free roaming sloths, bats and birds.

In the warmer months, tree ferns give the feel of a rainforest by the train station. Whilst the arid beds with cacti and succulents in the Old Walled Garden evoke the natural habitat of the meerkats. Swathes of ornamental grasses and perennials enfold the rhino paddock. Traditional herbaceous borders, spectacular specimen trees and spacious lawns surround the manor house. The gardens look good throughout the seasons with the Winter gardens, thousands of spring bulbs and seasonal displays. 

Enjoy lunch in the licensed cafe serving hot food, kiosks with snacks or you can bring a picnic. Car parking is free and you can access your car at any point during your visit.

They are wheelchair and pushchair friendly with 99% accessibility, including disabled access to the train. There are disabled toilets around the park and a ceiling hoist room with moveable bed and shower. Lots of disabled parking and free wheelchair hire (reserve in advance by phone) or you can hire at a cost a mobility scooter (booking essential).

Dogs are welcome on a short lead under adult control in most areas of the Park, except areas with free-ranging animal areas.
