Aston Pottery punches way above anyone's expectations of what a pottery should be.

It combines four disciplines into one environment to produce an experience which can only be described as unexpected and memorable.

Forty years ago, Jane and Stephen set up Aston Pottery with teh aim of supplying high street shops with hand decorated ware which was all designed and made on site.  This continues today with a highly skilled workforce producing everything you see in the shop.

The shop itself evolved from an interest that people had in the pottery and started life in a rare calving and milking shed from 1836 which we renovated in 1995 and started selling property from.

In 2008 we further developed the site with a brand new building using more than 26,000 hand made bricks and 40,000 clay roofing tiles and we hope the fact that the new building is built with clay in its many forms doesn't escape you.  We have now created one of the best retail situations in Oxfordshire within a contemporary, modern environment.

You'll be treated to exceptional food from everyday bread, scones, cakes and sweet tarts which have been baked alongside poachers rolls, quiches and scotch eggs - all served with an array of salads and cheese to satisfy the most hungry appetite.

Look out for our brioche rols made daily into the best sandwiches you'll ever taste.

Finally don't miss our flower borders which are recognised as some of the most innovative in Britain today.  From our hot bank covered in Kniphofia, Salvias and Penstemon to the annual border with more than 120 annuals and 6,000 plants - everything is on a colourful epic scale -  but beautifully considered and placed.

Aston Pottery is a place about two individuals and their shared vision.
