About
With its glowing Costwold stone walls, flower-baskets and welcoming arched windows, The Howard Arms is a place you fall in love with before you even go inside. Sitting comfortably beside the village green for more than 400 years, it still looks over pastureland and the idyllic village of Ilmington.
Inside there is a huge log fire where you can settle yourself in comfy leather seats with a pint of local ale or a glass of delicious wine. In summer you can drink or eat in a beautiful garden with a small stream.
The bar remains a central meeting place for the village. A large choice of local ales and other drinks are served by friendly staff. Dogs are welcome and you can choose from the full menu and eat at cosy tables or in the Snug. Leading off this is an elegant, beautifully lit dining area with wild flowers on the tables and oil paintings on the walls.
Award-winning chef, Gareth, creates an irresistible menu. Using carefully selected local ingredients whenever possible, everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented. It is original without being fussy, the portions are generous, quality pub standards such as fish and chips are always available and the puddings are wicked.
With 8 luxurious bedrooms, The Howard Arms is renowned for its hearty breakfasts.
Perfectly located you can visit Shakespeare’s Stratford-on-Avon, famous gardens like Hidcote and Kiftsgate, Warwick Castle and nearby Cotswold gems like Chipping Campden. The centre for many stunning country walks, the Howard Arms is the ideal place to make your destination.
