Hand Crafted Artisan Belgian Chocolates

POD Chocolate Experiences was born out of my desire to branch out on my own and after learning from all the top chocolate companies over 10 years - Rumseys, Harrods, Hotel Chocolat, Melt, and Rococo- I was ready to run my own business, my way. In my range of chocolates, I focus mainly on Belgian chocolates with a high percentage of cocoa and less of the milk and sugar. This is the good ingredient in chocolate!! I do have some single-origin chocolates from Educador and Ghana which give more of a distinctive flavour from where the cocoa is grown. In my eyes the actual chocolate is the star of the show so I tend to not do too many filled chocolates as you hardly get any of the chocolate. 

I sell my chocolates on my website, but mostly at local Oxfordshire Farmers' Markets and also at seasonal fairs. 

One of my motos is that you should 'Taste the Chocolate' and not just eat it. Allowing the chocolate to melt in your mouth and appreciating the flavours instead of just eating it, which actually eliminates the flavours. 

The packaging in which my Chocolate Shards are placed in is recyclable and also can be reused as well with their zip lock tops. I try where I can to be environmentally friendly, but it is not always possible. 

As well as making chocolates I also host Chocolate Experiences where I come to a customer's house or companies' venues and teach them all about how we harvest cocoa and then turn it into chocolate. They would choose from a wide selection of experiences on my website which include: Slab Decorating, Truffle Making, Praline making, Tasting, or even Bean to Bar, the whole process. I love explaining all about the cocoa process, this is my passion. Chocolate is a popular food which a huge number of people know not a lot about, so it is an interesting topic to talk about. 

Since setting up my business I have worked with Daylesford and Soho Farmhouse supplying them with chocolates and also hosting events for their guests. POD Chocolate Experiences has also been awarded 4 Great Taste awards in 2022 and now 2023, which is very exciting! 28% White Chocolate with Columbian Coffee and Cocoa nibs Shards (2022) One Star, 39% Arriba Ecuadorian Milk Chocolate with Roasted Almonds Shards (2023) One Star, 45% Milk Chocolate with Honeycomb and Caramelised Wafer (2023) One Star and my Crunchy Hazelnut Pralines (2023) Two Star.
