Discover more about how the British aristocracy live with your own private tour of one of the Cotswolds most beautiful historic houses.
This full day experience takes you through hidden Cotswold villages to Stanway House – a stunning Jacobian manor house owned by the Earl of Wemyss.
Your day can be tailored to your own requirements, spending time in your choice of beautiful Cotswold villages from haunted Minster Lovell with its 15th century ruins, to one of the most romantic villages in the area, Lower Slaughter; Bourton-on-the –Water known as the Venice of the Cotswolds or Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds.
Your private tour of Stanway House gives you the chance to discover life as a member of the British aristocracy as you meander through rooms still home to the Earl of Wemyss.
Then you can soak up the atmosphere and marvel at the incredible gravity fed fountain – the largest in Britain – in the beautiful garden whilst enjoying an afternoon cream tea.
Booking
Price: Cost per group £600 from Oxford or Cotswolds.
Duration: 8 hours including pick-up.
Capacity: Minimum of 1 person and maximum of 8 people. We can accommodate larger groups on request but would have to source a coach and therefore will quote for larger groups at the time of enquiry.
Opening: Monday to Friday all year round.

Facilities
Language: English only. Guests will need a basic knowledge of English to fully appreciate the experience.
Pick-up service: Collection available from Oxford or the northern Cotswolds free of charge. Will pick clients up from their hotel or a train station. Pick ups from further afield also available at a surcharge. £250 fee for pick up and drop off in London.
Accessibility: Low level of fitness is required. There will be a few short walks of up to 10 minutes.
Special requirements: We suggest guests wear comfortable walking shoes.
Weather: This experience will run in all weather conditions.
