At Cotswold Exploring we are passionate about our beautiful region. 

All our itineraries are carefully researched and put together to show our guests the very best of the English countryside.

We specialise in small group tours led by guides who hold the prestigious Blue Badge qualification and dedicated drivers and as a family-run business take pride in putting our guests at the heart of what we do. 

Cotswold Exploring will take you to delightful villages nestling in small valleys next to quietly meandering streams where beautiful stone cottages with thatched roofs, tiny churches, village greens and quaint pubs are in abundance. 

We also visit bustling market towns with their colourful cafes and quirky shops.  As well as entertaining you with the history, traditions and anecdotes about the Cotswolds, we like to give you time to explore on your own.

Cotswold Explorer Tour

A tour which introduces you to the best of the North Cotswolds, combining visiting some of the famous towns and villages of the Cotswolds like Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold with some of the charming undiscovered villages rarely seen by tourist buses.  Plenty of time to explore on your own in Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow, Snowshill and Chipping Campden or Broadway.

Cotswold Taster Tour

Our popular half-day tour from Oxford which gives those guests with limited time the chance to sample the Cotswolds.  We visit Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, the Barringtons, Taynton and Burford with a stop in some tiny mystery villages on the return to Oxford.

Cotswold Adventurer Tour

Our Cotswold Adventurer Tour has been one of our best-selling tours, visiting the South Cotswolds with a taster of the North Cotswolds at the end of the day.  We visit Bampton (great for Downton fans!), the delightful village of Bibury, the enchanting Coln Valley and the medieval town of Winchcombe.  This tour offers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Cotswolds.

Cotswolds and Shakespeare Tour

Our Cotswolds and Shakespeare Tour combines some of the highlights of the Cotswolds with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon.  You will have the opportunity to visit some of the lesser known ironstone villages of the North Cotswolds before going into Warwickshire for your visit to Stratford-upon-Avon.  There will be plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of Shakespeare’s home town and visit the bard’s birthplace and the Shakespeare theatres.  We then drop back into the Cotswolds for a return to Oxford via some more of the delightful towns and villages of the North Cotswolds.
