About
The golden city of Bath has been welcoming visitors for over 2,000 years. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Bath is home to some of the most impressive architectural sights in the world such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge.
At the heart of Bath city centre, next to Bath’s imposing Abbey are the Roman Baths, which give a fascinating insight into the original bathing complex and the great Roman temple of Sulis Minerva. Above the Museum, in the 18th century Pump Room, you can taste the waters, enjoy a meal and listen to music from the Pump Room Trio.
Visitors can now bathe in Bath’s waters once again – but these days it is definitely a 21st Century experience! Thermae Bath Spa is the modern spa complex in the city centre, and with its open air rooftop pool, is a must-do experience for anyone coming to the city.
Bath has a wide variety of museums and galleries including the Fashion Museum and the Victoria Art Gallery. There are stunning gardens and landscapes a-plenty – don’t miss the stunning Palladian bridge at the National Trust’s Prior Park, just outside the city.
Festivals, theatre and vibrant street entertainment bring life and excitement to this beautiful city. Bath is also a shopper’s haven, with a reputation for fashion that goes back to Georgian times. Set within a compact and accessible city centre Bath’s range of independent and well known stores leaves shoppers spoilt for choice.
To make the most of Bath join a guided walking tour, enjoy the sights from an open top bus or take a balloon flight for a unique view of the city and surrounding countryside!
And if all this leaves you feeling hungry or thirsty there is a mouth-watering selection of restaurants, pubs, cafes and delis to choose from.
