About
There’s no better way to enjoy the spectacular River Wye and the beautiful landscapes of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty than getting actually on it and having a go at stand-up paddle boarding, or SUP as it’s called. The Monmouth-based Inspire2Adventure’s 3 hour Stand-up Paddle Boarding Experience includes full instruction from an expert guide on both 'Monty the mega-board' built for eight and single boards.
The sport is quick and easy to learn: your qualified instructor will teach you all the basics skills and guide you up river, playing games along the way to help build confidence as well as to have fun. Starting from a kneeling position and using balance and your core muscles, you will be standing up and paddling in no time. You will have time to paddle at your own pace and practise what you have learnt. As a bonus, on a hot summer’s day jumping into the river to cool down is bliss, too.
Back on dry land afterwards, this experience includes a tasty supper of delicious local food.
This experience is suitable for beginners as well as those who have paddle boarded before, and requires a minimum level of fitness.
Participants need to be confident on and in water. Buoyancy aids will be provided.
