Take a magical mystery tour to a place where the wild things are, a place where you wake with the birds and sleep with the stars, a place that will blow your mind. Chill out in the wood-fired hot tub on the deck… freshen up in the outdoor shower… zone out on the cushions and throws retrieved from the Marrakesh Express… freak out at the sounds of nature all around… bliss out in the crisp linen and luxurious towels.
Our newest yurt was built here at the farm, using traditional techniques and the natural materials in the woodland around us. The trees were felled, the bark was stripped and the structure emerged from the ancient woodland.
The yurt is a unique structure, with a full-length window offering a bird’s eye view of the woods. Inside there is a hand-made bed, a large wood-burning stove to keep you cosy and an abundance of cushions, throws and luxurious sheepskin rugs. The bedding is beautiful crisp Egyptian cotton, while we provide soft towels and towelling robes. There are roll up futon mats for up to two children.
The large covered deck boasts a fully-equipped camp kitchen, a table and chairs for dining out, some crazy chairs arranged around a firepit, and a wood-fired hot tub, the best place to gaze up at the night sky. Beside the deck is an outdoor shower and a short walk away the Far Out Yurt’s very own Far Out Loo.
The Far Out Yurt is the perfect romantic spot for couples looking for a secluded escape, while families will love the opportunity it gives the kids to have their very own piece of woodland.
Westley Farm is one of the Cotswolds’ best-kept secrets, a 70-acre farm, surrounded by ancient woodland, rolling meadows and unrivalled views. There’s lots to do on the farm, from pony rides to exploring the woods, but if you want to venture out we’re close to the Cotswold gems, as well as the foodie heaven of Stroud and the Roman market town of Cirencester. There’s golf, waterparks, castles, gliding and even a local circus on the doorstep.
But you might want to stay put and watch for the kestrels, buzzards, owls, badgers, foxes and deer, as well as the sheep and cattle that graze the fields.
