Accessibility
With the government publishing the National Disability Strategy and the tourism recovery plan setting out the ambition for the UK to become the most accessible tourism destination in Europe by 2025, inclusive & accessible tourism makes good business sense, especially as research shows this customer group have a higher level of brand loyalty.
VisitBritain’s research before COVID-19, highlighted half a million British adults cited ‘lack of accessibility provision’ as the reason they did not take a domestic trip in the previous 12 months. If each person with an impairment took a domestic holiday, the value to the UK economy would be £116.7 million.
