Cotswolds Plus LVEP Governance

There is a Management Board consisting of representatives from organisations making a significant contribution – either financial and/or in staffing – to the LVEP. Chaired by the Chief Executive of the Cotswolds National Landscape, the other board members are: two from Cotswolds Tourism (one each from their two principal funders, West Oxfordshire and Cotswold District Councils) and one each from Marketing Cheltenham, Visit Dean Wye, Visit Gloucester, Tewkesbury Borough Council and Gloucestershire County Council. Representatives are nominated by the respective DMOs. Other organisations wishing to make a significant contribution to the LVEP would – by agreement from the Management Board – be invited to nominate a representative to the board.

The partner DMOs and local authority tourism officers work together as before under the Executive Officer Group (EOG) via an agreed Terms of Reference. There will be no major structural or organisational changes, but the participating partners are committed to finding ways to work together more effectively and to minimise any duplication of effort.

Visit England’s application process asked that one organisation should be the lead and accountable body. For the CotswoldsPlus LVEP that lead will be Cotswolds Tourism for which Cotswold District Council acts as the accountable body.
