Making the Most of Your Membership

We want to make sure that whatever your level, you’re getting the most out of your membership with us. So here are a few pointers on how we work and how you can make sure you don't miss out on valuable opportunities to promote your business.

You can remind yourself about your member benefits by going to membership levels for a breakdown of each level.

Put simply - think of your investment with us like a gym membership – the more you put in – the more you get out of it!


Member updates/content callouts

Make sure you respond to our member updates, which keep you updated about networking events, training and advertising opportunities, as well as callouts for information for our consumer enewsletters.  The better your images/text, the more likely you are to feature in an enewsletter, which is a gold and platinum member benefit, though occasionally we include entry level contributions if they're particularly good and relevant.


Social Media

If you don’t already, please follow our social media channels:  Facebook  Twitter  Instagram.  Feel free to contribute to our feeds by sharing content or tagging us in your own posts.

We will follow gold and platinum members' social media feeds and repost/tweet etc where appropriate as much as we can.  We also recommend you keep in touch with us and send over snippets of information – always accompanied by a good image or two – and we will post specifically about this (where relevant). 


Banner adverts

Platinum members are entitled to a complimentary banner advert on our website all year round which can be changed as often as you like (within reason!).  They need to be sent to us as finished artwork, 728x 210 pixels in size.  If you want to send out a number of adverts for the year, simply give us the start and end dates as you’d like them to appear.


Group and travel shows

We often take stands at some of the biggest consumer and travel trade shows. Platinum members are offered the chance to pay to stand share with us before we widen it out to gold members.  Information will be sent out in a member update.


Images

Images are incredibly powerful in our promotional work so if you have a new photoshoot or capture something gorgeous – please ping it over to us for us to use in social media and enewsletters.  They need to be high quality and copyright free please.  Aim for a minimum of 1MB in size and send them to cotswoldstourism@cotswold.gov.uk


Press and PR

As part of our work to attract press, film, magazine and social media bloggers to the Cotswolds, please let us know if you would be happy to host visits.  They help to raise our profile and attract more visitors to the area and we work closely with VisitEngland and VisitBritain to make sure the right calibre of press are hosted in the Cotswolds. 


Events

Upload your events via our website by going to www.cotswolds.com/submit  and following the online prompts.  Please note, we reserve the right to edit event entries, or not make them live if we don’t feel they’re of a high enough calibre to attract people to holiday in the Cotswolds.
