Testimonials
We believe membership with Cotswolds Tourism represents excellent value for money and benefit to tourism businesses.
But don’t just take our word for it! Here’s some feedback from our lovely members.
Jenni Powner-Jones, Cotswold Farm Park
The Farm Park has been a partner of Cotswolds Tourism for a very long time and in recent years we’ve upgraded to the Platinum membership. We see a large number of tourists visiting us, so it makes so much sense to work as closely as we can with the team to help firstly in bringing people to the area and secondly to ensure we’re on the list of places to visit while they’re here! We see a large and ever-growing number of referrals from the main Cotswolds website and benefit greatly from their social channels and newsletters too. Not forgetting all of the behind the scenes work that goes on with influencer visits and tourism trade events etc!
The team at Cotswolds Tourism have always been very supportive in every way, from promotion of our events to training workshops, and in turn we try to provide them with lots of quality content to help them promote the area. It really is a working partnership and one we couldn’t do without.
The community element is also great; if you can make the time to join in with the meetings, I would recommend it.
Lance Keirle, Whatley Manor
Since joining 4 years ago, Cotswold Tourism has become an important part of our sales and marketing strategy. Utilizing the support, guidance and training offered both before and throughout the pandemic for the local area and domestic travel trade. Being part of the membership has given us the opportunity to connect with other businesses in the area to gain insight into market trends, enhance our visibility and support other local businesses by linking in with their business model. The team at Cotswold tourism are extremely helpful and pro-active, always looking to evolve and prepared to take on and adapt following members feedback and comments. We find it to be great value for money for our business.
Tom Benjamin, Go Cotswolds
We've been members of Cotswolds Tourism since their inception and we've found our engagement with them a key part of our operations and continued success. Primarily, this is through excellent exposure via their website and social media channels. In addition to this we're continually kept abreast of a variety of marketing campaigns that we can get involved with (if we wish) both locally and nationally. During the pandemic they were also a reassuring source of information and support. For us, membership of Cotswolds tourism will always be an important part of our marketing spend - we find it excellent value for money given the support and exposure we receive - and we look forward to an ongoing working relationship with them in future years.
Mike James, Savouring Bath
Our membership of Cotswolds Tourism has proved its value in more ways than we could ever have hoped for. Their friendly team have always been hugely helpful, and have promoted our business to markets we would have struggled to reach on our own. They’ve adapted to sell our tours via cotswolds.com, making our tours accessible to even more travellers and we’ve really appreciated all the inclusions we’ve had from them in media visits, presentations, and exposure we wouldn't have been able to source ourselves.
Deborah Carter, Cotswolds Distillery
Being part of Cotswolds Tourism allows us to benefit from initiatives to attract visitors to our brand home and amplify our own communications. It has allowed us to connect with other businesses in our region and learn about best practice in the industry.. Importantly they look to develop awareness of the region both at home and abroad and we have benefited from influencer visits off the back of their work. The team at Cotswolds Tourism are proactive, helpful and passionate about the Cotswolds – in March 2020 they were one of the first to make contact we went into lockdown and have since been in contact to optimise opportunities as leisure reopened.
Andrew Moseley-Packer, Cotswold Photography Tours
Small businesses such as Cotswold Photography Tours have limited resources with which to market our products. We joined Cotswold Tourism in the Spring of 2019 and it has proven to be by far the most effective platform we have tried through which to promote our photography tours to the widest possible audience. Within a matter of months of joining we noticed a definite increase in enquiries and bookings for our tours from customers in both the UK and abroad who had found us through the Cotswolds.com site. Even during the recent pandemic the returns we have seen relative to the annual membership cost has still made our membership of Cotswold Tourism incredible value for money. In addition to having a presence on the Cotswold.com website, benefits of membership are further enhanced in multiple ways such as links to Visit Britain & Visit England, ready access to the TXGB online booking platform to help market products even more widely and access to online training across a range of business-related areas. Above all, Cotswold Tourism provides an excellent personal point-of-contact service in the event of queries or need for information and advice on aspects of marketing and promoting small businesses in the Cotswolds. Should you become a member? Most definitely, yes!
James Edmondson, Log House Holidays
We have been with Cotswolds Tourism for 4 years now and although we don’t typically list on many website, this is one that we feel is different. They have continued to send enquiries to us but also unique PR opportunities and links which have helped us greatly. The events that are available to members are also a very useful resource to be able to access. The Cotswolds will no doubt be a strong brand going forward and we feel that being present on this site is key for anyone selling a product associated with this market.
Christina Mckenzie, Lygon Arms Hotel
Cotswold Tourism is invaluable to us at the Lygon Arms, due to their links to International tourism and Visit Britain, which gives us wider exposure when travellers are looking at staying in the Cotswolds. It’s like being part of a community, with ongoing support in our partnership to enhance our visibility and making sure we are receiving value from it. They are constantly evolving and improving, so you really feel they are behind you as a business.
